Hi, I am Barkie. I am a Professional Tennis Coach and a Life Coach for the past 12 years. I have a Social Science Crime Degree and a Honours Degree in (Psychology) - Current Masters Citation Life Coaching. I am a former professional tennis player and toured extensively the European and American Challenger circuits. I'm also the resident Coach at The Mount Nelson Hotel. Prior to my studies, I have been employed at the South African Department of Justice in the Human Resources Department as a Manager. I later focused on research on “The Self Perception of Failure in Sport”. Sometimes I do Guest Speaking on Radio discussing Life Coaching and Arbitration Matters.
I have also been a Guest on Cape Town TV. My passion has always been to transform people's lives and ensure that they can become the best that they can be and accomplish their goals. I have been responsible for enhancing people's performance, ranging from youth groups, students, athletes, business people, abused women, substance abuse and married couples and focuses quite a bit on family arbitration. The idea is to do mental shifting and mindset change in order to get the best out of the individual and create a structured program to rehabilitate.
